Arturo Bustijos is shot dead by two thugs as he is making his way to deliver the damning document that proves that Rodrigo stole Aristide’s property. Naturally, Rodrigo is the first suspect. Soledad and Isabela file a case with the police, accusing him of paying hit-men to murder Arturo. Rodrigo insists that he is innocent and his three sons vow to prove his innocence. The two thugs are arrested and they confess to killing Arturo. Rodrigo is then released from jail.
Meanwhile, Carlos Alberto and Isabela are pressuring Soledad to bring her wedding to Carlos Alberto forward. However, Soledad and her mother do not agree. She still needs time to get to know him better.
Alejandro has lost patience with his mother Lucia. He is tired of her bitterness and inciting Kike to hate his grandfather. He confides in Carolina about his plans to move out. Carolina convinces him to move into her house. Will she live with a man who dreams of another woman?
The pregnant Isabela is not feeling well. She still does not know that she has Lupus. The news about Rodrigo’s release does not help the situation. While Soledad is tired of the whole revenge and is ready to throw in the towel, Isabella throws a fit of rage in hunger for more revenge. Then she collapses unconscious. Will the baby survive?

Diego, Paloma, Soledad and Gian Carlo go to Inez’s house to sort out the issue of the Hacienda. Fabian is already there trying to bargain for a simpler way to buy El Cafetalero. The stringent conditions that Inez and Latore have put before Fabian can own the company make it almost impossible for him, in his broke state, to buy the company.
Diego and Fabian get into a fight about the Hacienda and Fabian mentions the possibility that Soledad slept with Lorenzo. This drives Inez into chasing him out of her house. She tells him to forget about El Cafetalero. Fabian vows to prove to her that Diego is the bad guy here.
Meanwhile, Miguel is stranded in a hotel room with a credit card that does not work. The hotel confiscates his phone and car keys and so he cannot receive the call from Diego about the money. Diego on the other side thinks Miguel and Berenice are playing hard to get and instructs Latore to let the police handle the situation.
Miguel, using the Sanchez-Zambrano name, threatens the hotel management before leaving with the baby and a small bag. The hotel manager calls the Sanchez-Zambrano home to resolve the situation. Diana and Daniella take the call and are told that Miguel checked in with only a baby and no woman. This is suspicious and another hunt follows.
