HE thought it was the usual committee with the usual understanding members, but on Thursday, the permanent secretary, office of the prime minister, Martin Odwedo, was surprised that the usually friendly MPs on the Public accounts committee had changed. <br>

HE thought it was the usual committee with the usual understanding members, but on Thursday, the permanent secretary, office of the prime minister, Martin Odwedo, was surprised that the usually friendly MPs on the Public accounts committee had changed.

“We are not discussing anything before you produce the cash book,” the committee chairman Nandala Mafabi said.

Odwedo tried to explain but the committee would have none of it. “CID take him away. The committee today is tough,” Mafabi said.
