I am unhappy with the way Nkumba University guild and administration handles students’ affairs. I am a student on evening programme at Mengo Senior School. Since the beginning of the January quarter, we have not seen anyone from the students’ Guild Council.
Last year when we held elections the Mengo campus was not represented on the guild. We pay a lot of money and a portion goes to the Guild Council. This time round, elections were scheduled for Friday, May 22 but the students were not informed in time.
We broke off and are preparing for our exams. I wonder whether the Guild Council considers us who are on evening programme. Since we were not informed in time we request that the elections be postponed.
