India, Pakistan storm Twenty20 semis

GROUP A winners Midcom India and Pakistan stormed the semifinals of the NCR Twenty20 after winning all their matches yesterday at Lugogo.

GROUP A winners Midcom India and Pakistan stormed the semifinals of the NCR Twenty20 after winning all their matches yesterday at Lugogo, reports Charles Mutebi.

Pakistan beat MTN South Africa by 57 runs. India defeated South Africa by 67 runs before demolishing BMS England by ten wickets.

The India versus England match was a no-contest. South Africa were dismissed for 84 in 13.4 overs.

In Group B, Crane Bank East Africa beat Rwenzori Uganda by six wickets and Sri Lanka by 47 runs at Kyambogo to reach the semifinals. Uganda defeated Calypso Boys Trinidad and Tobago by 51 runs to remain on course ahead of Saturday’s last group ties.

West Indies cricket great Brian Lara will grace the final on Sunday.
