Beware of shack schools

With privatisation of the economy, most people seem to be after making quick profits. This is evident in the schools that have sprouted all over the city.

With privatisation of the economy, most people seem to be after making quick profits. This is evident in the schools that have sprouted all over the city.

Some of them share premises with restaurants and bars in the middle of noisy slums and suburbs.

Most of the schools are not licensed and when it is time for national exams, candidates are registered in a different school.

How does one expect learning to go on when music is blaring in the neighbourhood? Parents must put their foot down and demand a better learning environment for their children, even if it means relocating them to a better and quieter place.
