Woman killed by falling roof
KAYUNGA-A 70-year-old woman, Christine Nabbosa, was killed when the roof of a dilapidated house collapsed on her during a storm on Wednesday. Residents of Kiwangula village in Busaana sub-county failed to rescure her. Nabbosa’s body was taken to Kayunga Hospital for a post-mortem examination. District Police commander Charles Nuwagira said Nabbosa, a local brew seller, was the only person in the house.
Kayunga LC5 refuses new car
KAYUNGA-Acting Kayunga LC5 chairperson Boniface Bandikubi has turned down an offer of a new official vehicle, saying the district had more pressing problems to address. Bandikubi on Friday directed the chief administrative officer, Samuel Katehangwa, to use the sh100m meant for the car on the construction work of the new district offices.
