KJT sets out to win tournament
- Thirteen Kampala Junior Team KJT players jetted out yesterday for their debut performance in the Norway Cup in Oslo that gets underway on Sunday until August 1. The team is made up of players from Kisenyi parish and Mengo and is sponsored by UNICEF. “We have been preparing since December and we are determined to win the tournament on our first attempt,” Mansoor Kabugo, coach of KJT, said.

Absent riders delay selection
- Selections of the national team that will take part in the second leg of the 2009 Central African Motocross Challenge in Nairobi has been put on hold until participants return from holidays mid next month. Many riders who usually make up the national team are away for summer holidays in Europe. Among the riders is Belgian and French-born stars Maxime Van Pee, Yannick Duyck, Chris Long and John Glaser.

Safe driving is crucial for rally
- The Uganda Police Force and the national motor sport body FMU have organised a one day workshop for rally drivers at Mambo Jambo in Mengo tomorrow to sensitise drivers about the safe use of public roads. The meeting will emphasise to the drivers the importance of observing traffic regulations and how important it is for them to be considerate to other road users.
