IT was bound to happen now that PAM Awards do not seem to be returning. Some astute fellow was bound to come up and take the mantle, and it happens to be promoter and music records buyer Abbey Musinguzi.

The Golden Awards 2009/10 and slated for Sunday October 11, complete with all nominations and sponsors. Musinguzi has added categories like best DJ, girl group, local music programme, comedian, group and best music buyers and distributors.
He says artiste of the year and best female artiste will get sh5m and sh2m respectively, while each of the other winners will take sh500,000.
