Why not Namboole?
EDITOR - I am one of those who failed to understand why the FIFA World Cup trophy was displayed in a cricket oval. In all the countries where trophy was taken, it was displayed in soccer stadiums.
Interestingly, our sports authorities (or was it Coca Cola) preferred to display it in a cricket oval. Surely Nakivubo or Namboole should have been more fitting.
Let me hope the oval did not prevail over the stadium because someone selfishly stood to benefit from the “deal”.

Thumbs up Asiku
EDITOR - I congratulate our fighter Jackson “Action” Asiku for winning the featherweight world title. It was no mean fit for Asiku to emulate big names like Ayub Kalule, Cornelius Boza, John “The Beast” Mugabi and Kassim “The Dream” Ouma.
I hereby urge Asiku to aim even higher. It’s time he started thinking about becoming the first Ugandan to win more than one world title. This could be in the same weight or heavier divisions. Congs again.
