Our snoops in Parliament say former Ethics and Integrity minister Miria Matembe knows where to go when she wants to make news – the Parliament.

She also knows what to wear when she wants to make news. On Wednesday, she caught MPs and staff of Parliament off guard when she sauntered in the corridors dressed in a white pair of shorts and a red blouse. When security at the entrance informed her she was “dressed inappropriately”, Matembe replied: “Oh am I?” She was, however, let in since she was going to attend the launch of the 16 days of activism against gender violence.

Have the few years out of parliament for Matembe been that long for her to forget the strict dress code? But we have to agree, she looked quite stylish.
