A SUDANESE pupil, Mary Ajah , who is said to have been one of the worst performers when she joined King’s Way Primary school, emerged the best in the school with aggregate 4.

“Her discipline, inquisitiveness and hard work have pushed her to the top,” said the school head.

Ajah, who was in Kenya with her father at the time of receiving the good news, screamed in excitement on phone for over 10 minutes.

“Oh my God! What a miracle! It will be a lesson to all other people never to despise anyone who is weak. I came from very far in improving my performance.

“It was a long journey to get to this level. I know I can achieve anything in life now,” she said happily.

School authorities said: “She spent most of her time reading and consulting teachers. She was the most behaved pupil in the school.”
