SUPER flyweight boxer Mudde Ntambi, has become the new face of Big Strikers promotions international as they return to the boxing scene in the New Year with a gala slated for January 26 at Emerald Hotel.

SUPER flyweight boxer Mudde Ntambi, has become the new face of Big Strikers promotions international as they return to the boxing scene in the New Year with a gala slated for January 26 at Emerald Hotel.

The undefeated diminutive Ntambi, will be battling for the vacant Africa Boxing Union super flyweight title against Tanzania’s Francis Miyeyusho at the Col. Jet Mwebaze memorial boxing gala.
The gala will include five support undercard fights.

Ntambi is smarting from a hard-fought win over hard punching Kenyan Wallace Kairu in December to take his record to five wins (2 KOS) 0-0.

He comes up a against a much tougher Miyeyusho who is a two time title challenger with an impressive record of 19 (8 KOS) 5-2.

“This will be our first event in 2008 and we hope to have many more in the year,” Geoffrey Kasule, of Big Strikers said.

“Ntambi is the new face for us and we are going to build his career until we land him bigger fights.”

Another upcoming fighter Farouk Daku will face off with Hussein Chiwa in an eight round light middleweight contest as one of the support fights.

Former Australian-based bantamweight Muhammad “Swico” Kizito will tangle with Fred Sanyuni of Tanzania.

Emerald Hotel on Bombo road are the sponsors of the fights supported by Shumuk Industries, Charlie Lubega, Ponsiano Lwakataka and Riyaz Kurji.
