AFTER Makerere signing a memorandum of understanding with Belgrade University, it will ably access lectures on an exchange programme, writes Conan Businge.

Makerere will now send lectures Belgrade and receive others from there. Uganda will also send more science students on scholarships to Belgrade, on courses like Psychology, Sports Science and Medicine.

Throughout its history, the University of Belgrade has aimed at establishing and developing cooperation with other universities, both in the country and abroad, as well as other international organisations that are engaged in the higher education field.

A professor from Belgrade’s Faculty of Special Education, Jasmina Karic, pledged continued cooperation between the two institutions. Karic also visited Kyambogo University’s faculty of special needs.

The university also has links with the Agency of the Francophone Universities and the Educational Committee of the Council of Europe.
