KAMPALA - The woman who committed suicide at Mulago Hospital on Friday was not a registered patient there, Eliphaz Ssekabira, the hospital spokersperson, said yesterday. Bena Nahabwe, jumped off the balcony of the hospital’s sixth floor on Block B. The Kampala Extra Police spokesperson, Simeo Nsubuga, said investigations revealed that Nahabwe ‘had a mental problem.’ The deceased, was staying in Wandegeya with her sister, Betty Bantariza. Attempts to get a comment from Bantariza were futile, as she did not answer her cell phone.

KAMPALA - The man, who broke through a security ring on Saturday and came close to President Yoweri Museveni during the 22nd NRM anniversary celebrations at Kololo, has been released. Emmanuel Kankungaho regained his freedom yesterday morning, a Police source said. “He was harmless,” a detective said on condition of anonymity.
