According to Avola, children who were rescued from LRA captivity would acquire vocational skills at the centres, adding that community would also use the buildings for other activities.

He was last week speaking during the commissioning of Paicho sub-county centre that was presided over by the World Vision Uganda National Director, Rudo Okwaramba.

The Gulu district community development officer, Nancy Nyapolo, received the keys to the centre.

She pledged that the facility would be put to the intended use like promoting functional adult literacy, among the women and in teaching them self-help skills, adding maintenance was a top priority.
