Somebody should have told Budaka Resident District Commissioner, Ddamulira Kyeyune, that presiding over a public function is much more than a ceremonial feat. You have to own the role, look it and act it to pull it off successfully.
Somebody should have told Budaka Resident District Commissioner, Ddamulira Kyeyune, that presiding over a public function is much more than a ceremonial feat. You have to own the role, look it and act it to pull it off successfully.
While inspecting stalls during the district’s Water and Sanitation Day celebrations last month, Ddamulira, who was the chief guest, came to a stall which belonged to Bugwere Rural Women’s Organisation, he picked a piece of cake made from millet and munched it.
When he realised that his colleagues, including senior district officials and the district woman MP Pherry Kabanda had washed their hands first, he turned, and as if to save face, said: “I do not need to wash hands to eat cake,†drawing sarcastic laughter from guests. Oh boy!
