LASZLO Csaba intends to make wholesale changes to the Uganda Cranes side that succumbed to a humiliating 4-1 defeat to Benin last Sunday; some forced, while the others tactical.

“I will definitely make changes to the team I assembled in Benin. We need fresh legs,” coach Csaba admitted.

With the intention of preserving a serene atmosphere in camp, Csaba avoided going public over the likely changes, though Noah ‘Babadi’ Kasule is a certain omission.

Kasule has not communicated since returning to Armenia for treatment.

Gratefully though, Cranes captain Ibrahim Sekagya regrouped with the side at Namboole yesterday, after undergoing treatment in Austria on the groin injury he sustained while netting Cranes’ winner against Niger on May 31.

He said he is “ready for war” tomorrow, and will brush aside any injury fears. “I am not 100 percent OK but can play. We need to win this game and that’s why I wanted to be part of the team,” Sekagya stated.

The Angola game is no place for the fainthearted. There will be no room for egos, complacency or gambling.

The team got another boost of confidence when Nestroy Kizito returned to the team’s training camp yesterday after requesting to be excluded from national duty last week.

In goal
If there is a position in football where consistency is of utmost importance, it is goal. Dennis Onyango, his calamitous escapades in Benin notwithstanding, will retain his starting place with Hannington Kalyesubula on the bench.

In defence
At the back, Ibrahim Sekagya and Timothy Batabaire are automatic starters, with Nestroy Kizito and Simeon Masaba retaining their full-back positions.

In midfield
Cranes will have to play an attacking game, applying consistent pressure. The big question is, will David Obua give way for Mike Sserumaga?

Attack
Csaba will go with two strikers. All eyes will be on sensational Caesar Okhuti’s role.
