JINJA-The Ministry of Education has posted Dinah Nyago Tuhumwire to head Jinja Senior Secondary School, replacing Moses Mukwaya whose two-year stay was characterised by students’ demonstrations. “This is to inform you that you have been transferred from Rock High School to Jinja SS,” said a September 13 letter to Nyago from the ministry. The letter did not mention anything about Mukwaya’s fate.

Deny men sex women told
TORORO-Married women in Osukuru sub-county living in homes that don’t have pit latrines have been told to deny their husbands sex. The area LC3 chairperson, David Okurut, said: “The discomfort of denying them sex will drive them to sink latrines,” said Okurut. He warned women who would ignore the advice that they would face arrest.

Goats to be vaccinated
KAPCHORWA-A total of 68,000 goats and sheep are to be vaccinated against the Pestis Ruminatis disease following its outbreak in the area.The district veterinary officer, Dr. Nelson Yesho, said the Ministry of Agriculture was doing everything possible to ensure the vaccination exercise succeeded.
