Where are the women activists?

EDITOR—The prominent women’s rights activist machinery in Uganda seems to be oppositionist. They are quick to point out zealously cases of suspected women abuse involving people connected to the NRM but slow and almost blind to others!

EDITOR—The prominent women’s rights activist machinery in Uganda seems to be oppositionist. They are quick to point out zealously cases of suspected women abuse involving people connected to the NRM but slow and almost blind to others!

The case of the gruesome murder of young Rehema Caesar, has not drawn the amount of interest from women’s rights activists I have been accustomed to. It is, however, not too late. Their involvement in making sure that the investigators handle this case professionally will be very important.
