One hundred seventy-five students, mostly from areas affected by Lord’s Resistance Army rebels in Teso, have received training in counselling and guidance. They were sponsored by the Church of Uganda Diocese of Soroti. The diocesan coordinator, Joseph Adweka, said their target was to train people to relieve the children of the trauma caused during the war in Teso.

Madaada needs help

State minister for elderly and disability affairs Sulaiman Madaada wants the public to help him construct teacher’s quarters. Madaada is also the Bbaale county Member of Parliament. While fundraising for the construction at Kakyika Parents Primary School, he said over sh1b is needed for 200 houses.
