Solve garbage wrangles
There are many wrangles among companies supposed to collect garbage in the city. Groups that were supposed to collect garbage before mayor Nasser Ntege Sebaggala came into office, are not happy that he started using the Youth Brigade, who later became ESCOM. Sebaggala also said he would take over the collection of garbage from the divisions, a directive all four divisions opposed. It is because of these wrangles that garbage heaps are growing in and around the city. I request all the stakeholders to put aside their wrangles and collect the garbage.

Thank you Janet, but...
I appreciate the work done by MP Janet Museveni in our constituency. However, we are facing a very big problem, which needs to be addressed immediately. We have two hospitals in the area, but their condition is terrible. Many of the patients sleep on the floor because the beds are not enough. There are also no drugs. I request you to look into the problems.

Congratulations Nakaseke
I congratulate the residents of the newly-formed Nakaseke district upon solving the issue on the location of the district headquarters. I am also happy that they decided to take their offices to Butalangu, where a sh220m complex had already been constructed. I, therefore, request residents to forget their differences and work towards the development of the district.

Kamuli, stop the intrigue
We, the residents of Kamuli, are tired of the endless wrangles in the district. It is because of these wrangles that we do not have a district chairman. Court recently ordered the removal of chairman Kawooya Kaugu from office over irregularities. A few months before Kaugu was removed from office, he instigated the removal of the chief administrative officer. It is a cycle of intrigue and revenge. We are now set for another round of elections, which might bring more intrigue. I request our leaders to style up.

Don’t panic over land
Regarding the land issue in Acholi, I have observed that there is no threat to the land. I went to Gulu recently, but there was no sign that Acholi land was being stolen. I tried to find out why people were scared for their land and I concluded that they were panicking for nothing. I request our leaders to be cautious when making allegations connected to grabbing land because we might fail to attract investors to our area.

Gulu
