Two win Zone V seats

UGANDA captured two seats during the Zone Five basketball general assembly elections in Kigali, Rwanda at the weekend.

UGANDA captured two seats during the Zone Five basketball general assembly elections in Kigali, Rwanda at the weekend.

Ambrose Tashobya was elected a commissioner for women and youth affairs while Yunus Nkutu will oversee coaches.

Former Kenya basketball federation chairman, Morris Aluanga was elected president with Abdel Meguid of Egypt as his deputy.

Kenya also secured the post of secretary with Vitalis Gode capturing it.

The elections preceded the All Africa Games zone five basketball qualifiers that started on Sunday with Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Burundi taking part.
