SIR — Uganda is not fully independent. We still use foreign names like Hilda and Shirley. That is not all; Lake Victoria, Lake Albert, Lake Edward and William street still bear the names of the British. <br>

I think we have very good African names. There is no problem with a Ugandan being called Nahamya Amazima. It sounds good and reflects the African culture.
