PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has donated sh70m to women and youth groups in Teso region in fulfilment of his heifer project pledge.

PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni has donated sh70m to women and youth groups in Teso region in fulfilment of his heifer project pledge.
Each women group from Amuria, Katakwi and Soroti districts received sh12m, while that of Kumi got sh22m.
Soroti youth group received sh12m.
The beneficiaries received the money on Monday at the President’s Office in Kampala.
Museveni urged the groups to put the donation to proper use.
He added that the Government is committed to fulfiling its economic programmes, contrary to the lies being peddled by the Forum for Democratic Change party.
A delegation led by the State Minister for Relief and Disaster Preparedness, Musa Ecweru, thanked the President for the aid.
