SIR – I feel that this season’s soccer Super League has been more interesting because we have real competition at the top, especially between URA and KCC.

Good to see real Super League soccer fight

SIR – I feel that this season’s soccer Super League has been more interesting because we have real competition at the top, especially between URA and KCC.

This is credit to Lawrence Mulindwa.

He promised to bring back the competition and credibility the national soccer league lost during the reign of Denis Obua.
What remains is for the fans to return to the stadia and sponsors to come on board. But that is not Mulindwa’s job, it has to be said!

It is for the fans, and the media should take the lead in this regard.

Invest here, Ouma

SIR — I’m glad that the UPDF pardoned Kassim Ouma and allowed him to return to Uganda.

My suggestion is that Ouma should consider investing just a fraction of his income in local boxing, particularly in the development of support structures for young, amateur boxers.
Such an investment will make Ouma’s name sound forever.
