DEFENDING champions St. Mary’s Kitende led the way as the Coca-Cola Schools Cup knockout stage took shape yesterday.
An Edward Mubiru strike in either half guaranteed the Wakiso giants a top place in group A after a 4-1 win over Nyakasura School.
Despite the loss, Nyakasura also squeezed through to the last 16.
The result pits Kitende against Royal Giants in the knock-out stage on Wednesday. Nyakasura face group B winners Buddo SS.
