ARTISTES who want to participate in Kenya’s Seventh Kisima Music Awards have up to May 20 to submit their entries.

ARTISTES who want to participate in Kenya’s Seventh Kisima Music Awards have up to May 20 to submit their entries.
Eligible candidates are artistes, whose music was recorded and released from April 1 2006 to April 1 2007.
According to a Situma Jones, the awards publicist, the nomination procedure is as follows; artistes will submit entries, which will be screened.
The Nomination Academy members, who are involved in the creative and technical processes of recording, production and transmission, will then participate in the nominating process that determines four or five finalists in each category.
The Voting Academy and public will determine the winners after a professional firm does audits entries.
The process involves production houses, record companies and recording artistes entering recordings and music videos.
A filled-in form must be accompanied with an audio recording or music video.
Ugandans can download the form from www.kisimaawards.co.ke.
