Oyam campaigns take off
OYAM - Candidates for the Oyam South parliamentary seat have two weeks to campaign. According to the chairman of the Electoral commission, Dr. Badru Kiggundu, the campaigns started on Monday and will end on 19. The seat fell vacant following the death of Dr. Okullo Epak in April. Patrick Ogwang Adar (NRM), Issa Oto (UPC) and independents Ruth Adupa and Nelson Adea are contesting for the post. Kiggundu urged the candidates and the voters to keep law and order during campaigns and elections. He told candidates to submit their campaign programmes to the returning officer, who would ensure that their meetings do not clash.
