Bogere Masembe to quit CBS

CBS FM’s long-time presenter, Ahmed Bogere Masembe, may soon join the list of radio owners in this city. Masembe, who recently got married to the daughter of a prosperous businessman, is the head of sports at CBS FM and also presents the evening show.

Word reaching us is that the presenter is all set to roll out his own FM radio station. Last year, Masembe flew to the US to shop for equipment which we are reliably informed arrives anytime soon.
We do not yet know which frequency it will take up. But we know that the radio will broadcast in Luganda and will be based in Kampala. Masembe will be the second employee of the station to start his own radio station after Pastor Peter Sematimba left to set up Super FM. Watch this space.
