Gashumba to wed

HE has been much more in the news for his efforts to help Aisha Nabukeera, the Masaka-based girl who was allegedly burnt by her step-mother, and the controversies associated with that campaign, than for his social life.

In fact, we were starting to wonder whether businessman Frank Gashumba, Nabukeera’s guardian, had a life outside that campaign. Our scouts have no prior record of him turning up at a social function with a woman on his arm since he hit the spot light. But it turns out, Gashumba has a life after all.

A father of one (Sheila Gashumba, who hosts Kids News on WBS TV), Gashumba has been single for the past five years, since he split with Sheila’s mom. But now, word reaching us is that Gashumba is finally all set to walk down the aisle soon. Word is rife that kwanjula meetings are already underway at a top hotel in Kampala. We are not sure who the lucky lady is but, after some snooping about, we are reliably informed that Gashumba has lately been seen with Sheila Nalumu (pictured), a law student at Makerere University.

Could she be the lucky lady? Gashumba has been overheard publicly vowing to accomplish three things by the end of this year: get married; see Nabukeera’s case through and complete and get into his sh1.5b villa in Munyonyo!
