THE Mbarara High Court will today decide whether to grant bail to the two People’s Redemption Army suspects facing murder charges. They are Frank Atukunda and Robert Tweyambe.

They are jointly facing treason charges with the FDC Change president, Dr. Kizza Besigye.

Their lawyers, Kiyemba Mutale and Mark Bwengye, told court that their clients were ill and needed medical care and rehabilitation outside the prison.

But the State Attorney, Vincent Okwang, said the suspects had not given court medical proof of their illnesses.

He added that since they are facing capital offences, they were likely to be tempted to jump bail.
