ALTHOUGH Kampala Central Division chairman Godfrey Nyakaana, has access to a fleet of cars ranging from a state-of-the-art BMW to Kampala City Council trucks, he still occasionally prefers the bumpy, sweat-inducing and uncomfortable ride of commuter motorcycles (boda boda).

Clad in a stripped T-shirt and gray tour-trousers, Nyakaana was last Saturday seen on a boda boda dashing across town near the Central Police Station. The cyclist was riding at such a terrific speed that one would think the Central Division boss was making a getaway from an assailant. He was also speaking on the phone the whole time.
