Semo, Rukundo to spice boxing night

TWO of Uganda’s most outstanding prospects in the lightweight division, Peter Semo and Sam Rukundo, will highlight an action-packed fight show slated for August 18 in Stockholm, Sweden.

TWO of Uganda’s most outstanding prospects in the lightweight division, Peter Semo and Sam Rukundo, will highlight an action-packed fight show slated for August 18 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The unbeaten Semo will square up against Georgian Gari Abijian while the Uppsala-based Rukundo is pitted against Armenian Araik Sachbazjian in a night of boxing at the Eriksdalshallen in Stockholm.

The show that is being promoted by Swedish promoter Rolf Traff of Pro Box Scandinavian will have seven African fighters, six Ugandans and DR Congo’s Tonton Semakala who will be taking on Alexander Benidze in the main event.
