JUBA peace process spokesperson Capt. Bahoku Barigye suffered a broken hand when his vehicle overturned along Ggaba Road in Kampala early last week. Kampala Extra Police spokesman Simeo Nsubuga said the 1:00am accident occurred a few metres from Didi’s World, a popular entertainment centre.

“He lost control and the vehicle overturned,†Nsubuga said. But according to a witness, who preferred anonymity, the accident occurred when Barigye hit a pavement. “One of the front tyres fell off and the vehicle overturned,†he said. Barigye, who sustained injuries on the head was rushed to Nsambya Hospital where he was admitted. Police towed Barigye’s vehicle to Katwe Police Station.
