President Yoweri Museveni has stopped the State Minister for Economic Monitoring, Maurice Kagimu, from pursuing his bid to oust Bukomansimbi MP Iddi Lubyayi.

Kagimu on Saturday said the President had reconciled him with Lubyayi during a meeting in Kampala last month.

“The President asked me to concentrate on my ministerial duties in the interest of unity among NRM people in Bukomansimbi,” he said.

Lubyayi’s tenure is in the balance after the Court of Appeal up-held the nullification of his election for lack of academic papers.
He has now petitioned the Supreme Court.
