EDITOR—I don’t think anyone should get excited over Mabira Forest again. The people of Uganda told everyone who had ears to hear that they did not want their forest tampered with! If anyone does give the forest away against the wish of the people, then the correct response will not be demonstr
EDITOR—I don’t think anyone should get excited over Mabira Forest again. The people of Uganda told everyone who had ears to hear that they did not want their forest tampered with! If anyone does give the forest away against the wish of the people, then the correct response will not be demonstrations and noise.
The time for that has passed. Instead everybody in the party that made that decision will be removed from positions of power and leadership by not voting them back.
The next step will be to constitutionally return the forest to what the people of Uganda wanted it to be. Power lies in the hands of the people!
