LONDON’S premier party band, 311, is here to usher Kampalans into 2008. The band, which is a collaboration of Dominicans, St. Lucians and Trinidadians, will perform at Sabrina’s Pub on Monday, December 31, as the new year creeps in.

The band, which has a heavy Caribbean background, plays a wide range of musical influences, including soca, zouk, calypso, reggae, conpas dancehall and soul. In a nutshell, 311 can be described as a true representation of the Caribbean’s music spectrum in the UK.

At Sabrina’s Pub, the group will perform alongside Congo’s Mbonge Musica, another group which is set to bring back memories of the good old Lingala music.

The Congolese and 311 are all here courtesy of Hope Mukasa, the proprietor of the Bombo Road hangout.
Action kicks off at 8:00pm, and fans will part with sh5,000 entrance fee.
