LIRA — The Amuka militia have received a new set of uniform and their payment from the army General Headquarters at Bombo, after going without pay for over five months. UWESO aids

LIRA — The Uganda Women’s Efforts to Save Orphans (UWESO) has donated scholastic materials worth sh3m to 140 pupils at Starch Factory internally displaced persons’ camp. The district UWESO branch coordinator, Tom Etii, handed over the items to the pupils on Monday. He said the aid was to uplift the standard of the children in the IDPs and war-affected areas, especially in northern Uganda, where the level of poverty has left parents unable to provide scholastic materials.
