They are not the Budonians. They are not even Kisubi Obs. They are the St Andrews Turi alumni in Uganda and on Saturday February 11, they threw a big bash to celebrate the school’s diamond jubilee at the Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.

St Andrews turi, which nestles in western Kenya, has been the secret of a few select Ugandan parents in favour of an education for their children in a serene Christian environment. This, in addition to the emphasis put in talent development, especially sporting and musical talent that it is known for, St Andrews alumni are sprinkled all over Uganda. Among those who turned up for the re-union are utl’s Fred Kigozi, Nahida Bhegani and Amama Mbabazi, whose diva daughter Fifi currently goes to the school in St Andrews.
