Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala, who on Friday joined hundreds of primary school children to pray for peace in Uganda, has appealed to leaders to ensure that every Ugandan enjoys unlimited peace.
He appealed to Ugandans to avoid violence in next week’s polls.

He said, “As we move towards elections, we pray that the process is peaceful because there is no reason for violence.”

Wamala asked four children what they would ask for if one of their parents was going abroad for five months. Shoes and dresses were the answers from the girls while boys asked for bicycles and scholastic materials.

Wamala told the children, “Tiny as you are, you are helpless but do not be worried. Do not be afraid. It is peace God left us with, and not peace as the world does.”
