KAPCHORWA — Gunmen shot dead a woman at her home in Kapchorwa town on March 1. The district Police commander, Tomson Ogole, said Jane Cheburenge was killed on the eve of the presidential elections over what they suspect is a family row.

JINJA — A housemaid was on Friday brought before court over the theft of sh2.8m from her master’s bedroom. Faisi Basinka is said to have stolen Joseph Muyingo’s money on February 15, on Nadiope Avenue in Jinja.
