Expand Entebbe Road

THE MINISTRY of Works is to upgrade the Entebbe road to a Class 1Bitumen road before the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting next year and clear it of all unsightly structures.
THE MINISTRY of Works is to upgrade the Entebbe road to a Class 1Bitumen road before the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting next year and clear it of all unsightly structures.
This is a step in the right direction but it is not far enough. The Entebbe Road must become a dual carriageway from start to finish. That is the only way that travel to Entebbe will remain manageable as Kampala grows.
Both the airport and the soon to be renovated State House are in Entebbe. Travellers cannot afford to be delayed for hours by slow moving traffic.
If we are going to fix the Entebbe Road for CHOGM, let’s do it properly and make it a proper four lane highway throughout.
