LEAGUE champions Police FC’s top scorer Martin Muwanga and defender Simeon Masaba have reportedly crossed to Rwanda.

Masaba, who was the first to leave, missed the cops’ match against Express on Saturday. The striker was yesterday followed by the right fullback Masaba.
Police FC officials were not available yesterday for comment but sources in the club revealed that the reason the players left for ‘greener’ pastures in Rwanda, was because they were discontented.

Muwanga is reported to have been disappointed by the club’s failure to pay him a sh3m signing bonus as promised last year.

Masaba’s discontent meanwhile is said to have stemmed from the club’s failure to complete a sh0.25m reward it promised after he crossed from SC Villa.
Muwanga was the top marksman in the league last season with 14 goals.

Their departure has dealt new coach Sam Timbe a big blow especially after strikers Geoffrey Masaba and Mike Serumaga were sold to Egyptian and Swedish clubs respectively.

The move to Rwanda is part of an exodus that has had several Ugandan players crossing to Kigali for better pay.
