St. MARY’S SS Kitende and Masaka survived the scare of an exit from the Coca-Cola National Post Primary Schools football championship with last gasp victories yesterday.
Kitende, 10-0 winners over Amuria, needed four goals from Edward Mubiru and a double strike from Anthony Bongole against Gombe to lead group D with 10 points.
The other teams qualified for the knock-out stage that gets underway on Tuesday include Mvara, Koboko Town College, Oxford High, Iganga Parents, Tawheed Academy, Kashongi, Mulusa Academy.
Others are Biship McLister, Nakasongola Modern, St. Gerald Nyakibale and hosts Kabalega.
