SIR — I am compelled to comment on the way our religious leaders have failed to unite people but instead resorted to dividing them on tribal grounds. i don’t think archbishop Bakyenga has moral authority to say that Prince john Barigye is not the head of clans and therefore not supposed to call a clan meeting in ankore. Barigye is a crown prince and by natural rights he is the head of all original clans in Ankore kingdom.

Bakyenga should keep his personal opinion to himself. these are some of the people who have failed our kingdom. In 1966 religious leaders were at the forefront in bringing down kingdoms in uganda. The elders in ankore should stand firm and make sure this does not happen again.
