THE Ministry of Health has resumed the distribution of free Engabu condoms. The condom brand had been put off when holes were discovered in one of the consignments in 2004.

Dr. Sam Zaramba, the Director General of Health Services, said over 80 million condoms had been secured with the help of the World Bank.

Zaramba said each packet of the new Engabu condoms would bear a yellow sticker confirming that they were tested.

“This is a source of verification that they are checked,” Zaramba said in a statement.
