AMURIA MP Musa Ecweru on Friday said most MPs who speak about the security and humanitarian situation in northern Uganda from Kampala are ignorant about the condition on the ground, writes James Odong.
He challenged colleagues to first visit northern and eastern Uganda and do an on-the-spot assessment so they can speak from an informed position.
“My colleagues are eloquent but full of ignorance about what happens in northern and eastern Uganda,” Ecweru said.
“Can we visit northern and eastern Uganda so that we can speak from a position of knowledge; otherwise I sympathise with your ignorance,” he said.
Ecweru was responding to a presentation by the UNICEF country representative Martin Mugwanja in Parliament.
