PROPS Fred Mudola (left) and Bobby Bibagamba have been recalled to bolster the Rugby Cranes team currently preparing for the CAR 2007 World Cup qualifiers tie against Morocco on September 9.

Mudola and Bibagamba were dropped for the Elgon Cup final against Kenya a fortnight ago after they failed fitness tests.

The rugby cranes, still fresh from their historic 22-20 victory over arch-rivals Kenya in the Elgon Cup final, has stepped up drills ahead of the crunch tie that will have the winner top the group that also has Ivory Coast. The Ivorians suffered a 32-7 defeat to the Cranes in the first leg.

“Our focus is on some of the areas that did not work out well in the Kenya game and the boys are responding very well in that direction,” assistant coach Yayiro Kasasa revealed.

Uganda suffered a 14-0 first half trail before Peter Magona, Robert Seguya, Victor Wadia and Allan Musoke touched down to earn the side a slim sweat victory over the neighbours in Nairobi.

Meanwhile, the Uganda U-18 squad managed a 35-18 victory over Zambia in the the CAR U-19 2007 World Cup qualifiers hosted in Casablanca on Saturday.

The tournament that has Namibia, Morocco and South Africa in the north Africa country ends on Saturday.
