FORMER Lubaga South MP John Ken Lukyamuzi has accused the Attorney General (AG) of double standards in the manner in which he carries out his duties, reports Milton Olupot.

In a September 15 letter, Lukyamuzi accused the AG of failing to protect him from the Inspector General of Government (IGG) when he was thrown out of Parliament. Referring to a New Vision story of Thursday, in which it was reported that the AG defended cabinet ministers whom the IGG pinned in procurement and energy scams.

Lukyamuzi wrote, “The legal advice and services assigned to you are not entitled to only your colleagues in the Cabinet. All citizens of Uganda should benefit.

In January 2006, I appealed to you to do something about an unprecedented constitutional malpractice which led to my expulsion from Parliament.”
