PRESIDENT Yoweri Museveni (right) has castigated schools that charge high fees to raise money for teachers’ top-up allowances.
He was meeting headteachers of secondary schools that were earmarked for rehabilitation at State House, Nakasero, on Friday.
He said salaries for teachers in secondary schools would be “addressed in the next financial year if funds were available,” a statement from the State House said. The schools are Masaba SS, Sacred Heart, Sir Samuel Baker, Ngora High, Tororo Girls, kabalega SS, Nabumali High, Teso College Aloet and Kyeramusi SS.
